Marking Donald Trump's first Christmas in the White House since beginning his second term as president, this year's decorations at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave are looking much different than last year's setup under the Joe Biden administration.
After getting a first-look at photos of this year's holiday decor at the White House, many users on the internet pointed out a number of noticeable details, including several phots of Trump, 79, that were incorporated into the decor.

In the Green Room, the president is depicted in a portrait made out of legos, while a photo in the Cross Hall, lined with festively lit Christmas trees, shows candles and red and white flowers surrounding a wall portrait of Trump on the day of his attempted assassination in July 2024.

Other spaces in the White House include the Red Room, which has been decorated with hundreds of blue butterflies, plus a. gingerbread replica of the White House, boasting over 120 pounds of gingerbread, which is being displayed in the State Dining Room.

Users on the internet couldn't help but compare this year's holiday decor to last year, when the East Wing of the White House was still standing.
"Those East Wing photos are just breathtakingly devastating," one person wrote on Threads.
Another person said it was "Gut wrenching" to see the photos of the East Wing since being demolished.
"Is nobody gonna talk about his unhinged photos of himself all over the place?" one user lamented.
There were, however, several users who supported this year's holiday decor, including one person who said they preferred this year's decorations over last year's "all the way."
"I think they are fine," another user added of the 2025 holiday decorations. "Not great or overly creative, but decent."
