PITTSFORD, N.Y. — A new scholarship being offered to undergraduate nursing students in the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University will help students graduate debt-free.
The Boyce Family Nursing Scholarship will cover the cost of tuition, and room and board for residential students, annually for five years for eight first-year undergraduate students getting a bachelor’s in nursing.
The scholarship will be renewable for four years, allowing 40 students to graduate debt-free.
The scholarship was made possible through a donation made by alumnus and Board of Trustee member Daniel Boyce, Esq. ’79, and his wife, Shelley Boyce.
This is the third major gift the Boyce family has made to St. John Fisher. In 2023, the Boyce family supported major renovations to the now named Boyce Family Varsity Weight Room.
In 2020, they also created the Boyce Family Endowed Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance to undergraduate students with financial need.
