Linda Carol Hartman passed away November 29, 2025 at the age of 73. Mrs. Linda, also well known to her closest friends and family as Nana, was born in Carthage, TN on March 5, 1952 to Tillie Frances Smith and James Lemmon Alcorn. Linda spent many years as an in-home healthcare nurse, before becoming a full time homemaker, and she was excellent at it. Linda spent her time making memories, sewing, watching her favorite tv shows, doing laundry, shopping, and talking on the phone. Linda lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her. Linda loved being with grandchildren, and was fortunate enough, as of late, to spend time with the newest joy in her life, the newest grand baby- Sadie Blake. The sparkle in her eye lit up the room when she and Sadie were together. She loved butterflies, sunflowers and the color Blue. She was funny and quick witted, with a beautiful smile.
Linda is survived by her children Gretchen (Tyler) Jenkins of Lebanon, Dorothy (Allen) Chitwood of Missouri, Carolyn (Glen) Jones of Kentucky, and Bobby Boatwright and Gregory Boatwright, both of Lebanon. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Alexis, David, and Sadie Jenkins, Skye Overstreet, Tyler Brewington, Frances Sevier, Jaylin Driver, and many more she beloved dearly. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Sevier, sisters-in-law Vadra Dodd and Kim (Steve) Clark, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly, including special friends, John & Jan Dewaal, Pamela Bennett, Mackenzie Patterson, and so many others. Linda is preceeded in death by the love of her life and husband of over 40 years, Gregory Richard Hartman; her parents James & Tillie Alcorn, her grandson Benjamin Brewington; her sisters Ruby Rogers and Mary Boatwright; her brother Junior Thompson; her mother-in-law Shirley Browning; her father-in-law Ernest R. Hartman; and her nephew Jacob Harris. Along with so many other loved ones she missed dearly.
Family will have Visitation on Tuesday December 2nd from 6-7pm in the chapel of Sellers Funeral Home, Lebanon, TN. Directly followed by a service conducted by close family friend John Dewaal. As wished, Mrs. Linda will then be cremated. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend and celebrate her life. Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her selflessness, her boundless love, and the legacy of family she leaves behind. To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed.
