Alongside the eye-caching, midriff-bearing photo, featuring Curtis wearing shades, the actress shared a message on Dec. 1, World AIDS Day.
“To my friends, Rick and George and all their friends and families and all of yours and all who we lost, all over the world. We will continue the fight. #worldaidsday2025@ejaf@childrenaffectedby,” she wrote.
Curtis is referencing Richard “Rick” Frank and his husband George Lowe. Frank was an actor who worked with Curtis on the sitcomAnything but Love, which aired on ABC from March 1989 through June 1992 and co-starred the late Richard Lewis. Frank was a regular on the show portraying the character, Jules Kramer.

“You don’t have to have your own experience in order to feel compassion and the need for justice and equality,” she added. “In the LGBTQ world, certainly I have friends and family, but I don’t have to have the direct experience in order to feel the compassion that I truly feel for acceptance and equality in all areas.”
“Lowkey a great top for World AIDS DAY,” one fan wrote.
But there were a few who thanked Curtis for her post with sincerity.
“It touches my heart that you memorialized my Uncle George and Rick today. I was in eighth grade when he passed and will never ever forget him. Bless you,” added another.
