Have you been to church lately?
Confusion about behavior is created when deity and politics combine.
We got our outline for the state from the Greco/Roman empires. We got our religion from our forefathers. There is to be no religious favoritism in the practice of the state in carrying out its duties to Americans. This concept is known as separation of church and state.
The focus of this piece is about Christian Nationalism. Why is it important? A bipolar state has replaced a state that used to be functional. Church denominations are suffering huge reductions in membership. There is a belief that by making religious alignments to the state, the church can recapture this exodus of membership.
The political structure of bipolar behavior is in response to the influence of the church. The separation of church and state is a one-way flow today. The state is to see that favoritism of the church is neutral; however, the church wants the favoritism of the state. Therein lies the description, “Christian Nationalism.”
Any study of antiquity will demonstrate the power struggle between church and state goes back to the origin of civilization. It is why empires fall. Sorry, this one is not on President Trump. He is still trying to buy his way into Heaven. Anybody want to send him a few bucks?
Have a pleasant day.

Juvenile behavior has invaded American public life
I have wanted for some time to comment on the attitude and coarse language of our president and his administration but have found an author who has expressed my views better than I ever could.
In a recent article in The Atlantic, writer Tom Nichols noted in “A Confederacy of Toddlers” that the Trump administration is just petulant toddlers all the way down. Unfortunately, most of the country is getting numbed to the bad behavior on repeated display:
“The United States is now a nation run by public servants who behave no better than internet trolls, deflecting criticism with crassness and obscenity. The White House press secretary answers a question from a member of the free press — a serious question about who planned a meeting between the American and Russian presidents — by saying, ‘Your mom did.’ The secretary of defense cancels DEI and other policies by saying, ‘We are done with that sh–.’ The vice president calls an interlocutor on social media a ‘dipsh–.’ The president of the United States, during mass protests against his policies, responds by posting an AI-generated video of himself flying a jet fighter over his fellow citizens and dumping feces on their heads.”
“These are not the actions of mature adults. They are examples of crude people displaying their incompetence as they flail about in jobs — including the presidency — for which they are not qualified.”
The republic will not fail because Trump and VP JD Vance have decided that swearing is acceptable in public life, and juvenile behavior in American public life did not begin with the Trump administration. But they have brought it to new lows. Are these really the people we want to represent us and be examples for our children? My response is a resounding no!

Trump is coming for us and our way of life
Greetings, Greeleyites and all the ships at sea except, apparently, for those vessels being blown to smithereens by our military. Please note that is it illegal to blow up vessels which are in international waters, but what do 62-plus souls mean when the president of the United States is a sadistic madman? The answer is zero.
The orders from Trump to blow the ships out of the water are illegal and should not be followed by our military. He is a wrecking crew of amazing depth and intention. His entire Cabinet of henchmen and women are equally sadistic. Shockingly, Secretary of Defense Hegseth is cutting 100-year ties with Scouting America because the organization is too welcoming. The rumors about Hegseth being a follower of white supremacy become more believable with those types of orders and treating an auditorium of ranking officers of our Armed Forces as though he was the headmaster of a boys reform school.
Trump is an enemy of us all. He is throwing everything we hold dear in the dumpster and burning it. See Project 2025, which is the blueprint for the demolition of our democracy. Yes, the same document Trump denied knowing the existence of last year. Now the author of that document, Russell Vought, holds court in our White House in an incredibly important job as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Our White House minus the entire East Wing plus peripheral areas.
You may have heard a quote that reminds us that the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. So, good people, we must stand up, speak out and take action against all of this because Trump is coming for us and our way of life.
