Police in suburban Aurora have identified the victim and suspect who were killed in a shooting at a restaurant on Saturday night.
The incident was reported just after 9 p.m., when multiple 911 calls were made about shots fired at Two Brothers Roundhouse. When police arrived at the scene, they found three individuals who had been shot.
Jazmine Barclay, age 24, was taken to an area hospital, where she died. A second victim, a 33-year-old man, also sustained gunshot wounds and listed in critical condition.
The gunman, who police identified as 43-year-old Bryan Heineman, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police revealed on Monday that Heineman and Barclay had been dating, and on Saturday night, Barclay was with the other victim when Heineman entered the restaurant.
Authorities said evidence suggests he went to the establishment to confront the pair and may have learned of their location from a social media post. After approaching both victims, Heineman opened fire before turning the gun on himself, police said.
No bystanders were injured in the incident.
