She was three seconds faster than her prelims swim of 1:55.77, and just missed her best time of 1:52.47 by two tenths. Her swim was more than two seconds faster than the 1:55.13 she swam at this meet last season.
Bell was out in the back half of the heat with five of the seven other swimmers splitting a faster first 100. She turned in 54.43 after splitting 25.03 and 29.40 on the first two 50s. The breaststroke leg was where she made up all of her ground, splitting 31.33 to come in more than a second-and-a-half faster than any other swimmers in the heat and her 26.89 freestyle split was also the fastest time in the field, locking up the win.
Campbell Chase was in 1st at the 100 mark, splitting 52.98 with her 24.76 fly and 28.22 backstroke. She fell behind on the breast, splitting 33.32 to give up the lead and her 27.18 free was enough to hold off teammate Angie Coe, but could not catch Bell. Chase finished in 1:53.48, four tenths faster than te 1:53.89 she swam at last year’s Eddie Reese Showdown.
Coe was 3rd at 1:54.18 after splitting 24.53/29.37 on the first 100 to touch 6th in 53.90 at the halfway mark. She had the 2nd fastest breaststroke split in the field, though, to move up in the rankings at 34.09. Her final 50 was 27.34, allowing her to touch in 1:54.18, a new lifetime best.
MEN’S 200 IM – FINALS

Baylor Nelson won in 1:40.29, his first personal best in more than two years, dropping from the 1:40.86 he swam at the 2023 SEC Championships when he was still swimming with Texas A&M.
He was out in 3rd at the 50 mark behind teammates Will Modglin and Nate Germonprez, splitting 21.74. Modglin was 21.74 and Germonprez was leading in 21.44.
The backstroke saw Nelson move into 2nd with his 25.05 split passing Germonprez’s 25.93. Modglin maintained the lead at 24.86.
The breaststroke leg saw Campbell McKean swim the fastest split at 27.54, coming in more than a second faster than anyone else to move into 2nd overall behind Modglin, who was 28.92. Nelson spilt 29.23 to turn in 3rd.
Nelson had the strongest freestyle split in the field, touching in 24.27 to lock up the event win by about three tenths over Modglin who split 25.21 to touch in 1:40.58. Modglin was only about a tenth off his lifetime best of 1:40.45 from last year’s NCAA Championships.
McKean split 25.08 on the freestyle to touch in 1:41.06 for 3rd, about a tenth drop from his lifetime best of 1:41.19 from last year’s Winter Juniors.
WOMEN’S 100 FREESTYLE – FINALS

Torri Huske (STAN)- 46.15 Eva Okaro (TEX)- 46.61 Minna Abraham (USC)- 47.01 Gigi Johnson (STAN)- 47.57 Annam Olasewere (STAN)- 47.71 Nicole Maier (USC)- 47.94 Abby Wanezek (WISC)- 48.24 Lillie Nesty (TEX)- 48.31Torri Huske won the women’s 100 freestyle in 46.15, coming in more than a second faster than her prelims time of 47.22. She came in a little under half-a-second ahead of Texas freshman Eva Okaro, whose 46.61 was a new personal best by about four tenths.
Huske just missed her lifetime best of 46.01, but she was four tenths faster than she was this time last year when she swam 46.62 at this meet.
Huske was out fast in 21.70, turning seven tenths ahead of Eva Okaro‘s 22.40, but Okaro came home a little faster, splitting 24.21 to Huske’s 24.45.
USC’s Minna Abraham dropped about four tenths from prelims to swim 47.01 for 2nd, coming in just behind Okaro. She was only six hundredths off her lifetime best of 46.95.
MEN’S 100 FREESTYLE – FINALS

He cut about four tenths off the 42.46 mark he set at the Texas Tennessee meet. His preseason best was a 42.66 from Texas’ meet with Georgia last season.
Texas A&M’s Ben Sytsma finished 2nd in 42.30, dropping two more tenths from his lifetime best swim in prelims of 42.59. Coming in to the meet, his best was 43.19 from March of 2025.
Northwestern’s Stuart Seymour finished 3rd, dropping four tenths from his prelims swim to finish less than a tenth behind Systma and just over a tenth ahead of Texas’ Calvin Fry. His 42.37 was just four hundredths slower than the 42.34 he swam in March, while Fry cut half-a-second off his pre-meet best 43.08
WOMEN’S 200 BUTTERFLY – FINALS

Bricker was out more than a second ahead of her at the 100 mark, turning in 43.93 (25.07/28.86) to Stoll’s 55.25 (25.57/29.68). Stoll came back hard, though splitting 56.88 to Bricker’s 59.12 to take the event.
Stoll’s swim was about half-a-second off her lifetime best 1:51.64 from the SEC Championships, but was a new season best time. Bricker missed her season best 1:52.83 from the Stanford, ASU, Cal meet.
Justina Kozan from USC finished 3rd in a field of her own, touching nearly a second ahead of the 4th place finisher Angie Coe‘s 1:55.41.
MEN’S 200 BUTTERFLY – FINALS

Chmielewski got out fast, splitting 22.01 on the first 50 and 25.19 on the 2nd to turn in 47.20 at the 100 mark, nearly a second ahead of the rest of the final. Torok was out in 48.29, more than a second behind.
The 2nd 100 saw Mark Torok split 51.78 to Chmielewski’s 52.61 to nearly chase him down on the back half.
Chmielewski’s swim was a slight add from his previous best of 1:39.09, while Mark Torok dropped more than a second from his former best of 1:41.25 from the 2025 NCAA Championships.
Texas’ Cooper Lucas was 3rd in 1:40.40, a four tenth drop from his previous best of 1:40.86, also from the 2025 NCAAs.
WOMEN’S 200 BACKSTROKE – FINALS

She came in more than two seconds ahead of the rest of the field, finishing in 1:48.39 to beat Pitt’s Claire Jansen who swam 1:50.47 for 2nd.
Before today, Wanezek had never been under 1:50 in the event, and now she is closer to breaking 1:48 than she is to that 1:50 mark. Her previous best was 1:50.62, more than two seconds slower than she swam tonight.
Wanezek grabbed the lead form the 1st 100, and never looked back, swimming the fastest splits on the first three 50s. She opened the race in 25.50, the only swimmer under 26. On the 2nd 50, she split 27.21 to turn in 52.71 as the only swimmer under 54 or 53 seconds. Her 3rd 59 of 27.70 was also the fastest in the final. On the 5th 50, she swam 27.98, which was just eighteen hundredths slower than Claire Janen’s 27.80 on the closing 50.
Jansen’s 26.19/27.98/28.50/27.80 splits had her finish in 1:50.47, which was also a huge personal best time, dropping three seconds from the 1:53.28 she swam at last year’s NCAA Championships
MEN’S 200 BACKSTROKE – FINALS

Northwestern won their first event of the meet with David Gerchik‘s 1:40.53 taking the top spot in the men’s 200 backstroke. His swim was nearly a full second drop from the 1:41.31 he swam at last year’s Big Ten Championships, and came in three tenths ahead of Texas’ Kyle Peck.
Peck added a little more than a second to finish in 1:40.80 from his lifetime best 1:39.36 from the Eddie Reese Showdown in January of this year.
Wisconsin’s Adam Graham was out in first, flipping in 48.79 at the 1st 100 mark, ahead of Gerchik’s 49.18 and Peck’s 49.92. Gerchik and Peck came back fast, with Gerchik splitting 51.35 and Peck splitting 50.88 to take over Graham’s 52.28.
Ultimately, Graham touched in 1:41.07, which was another seven tenths dropped from the 1:41.81 he swam in prelims to drop a second-and-a-half.
WOMEN’S 400 FREESTYLE Relay – Timed Finals

Huske’s 45.49 split brought the Stanford team into the lead by about half-a-second over Lillie Nesty‘s 47.07 on the 2nd leg.
Gigi Johnson swam the 3rd leg for the Cardinal in 46.82 to expand the lead over Nikolett Padar‘s 47.63 for Texas.
The anchor legs saw Lucy Thomas split 47.74 for Stanford to Lucy Mehraban‘s 47.87 for Texas, further extending Stanford’s lead and cementing their victory in the event.
Stanford’s time of 3:07.59 would have been 2nd at the 2025 NCAA Championships behind Virginia’s 3:06.01. The Cardinal finished 5th overall, nearly two seconds slower than their swim tonight at 3:09.38.
Texas was also faster than they were at last year’s NCAA Championships with their 3:09.06 from tonight coming in more than a second faster than their 3:10.47 from last season.
MEN’S 400 FREESTYLE Relay – Timed Finals
NCAA Record: 2:42.30, Tennessee – 2025 2026 NCAA ‘A’ Cut: 2:49.36 2026 NCAA ‘B’ Cut: 2:50.42Top 8 Finishers

Will Modglin led the team off in 42.43, which was about a tenth slower than the 42.31 Nate Germonprez swam to lead off the Texas ‘B’ relay. Pitt’s Julian Koch had the fastest opening split in the field at 41.15 to start the Panthers off in the lead, the #1 time in the nation this season.
On the 2nd leg, Garrett Gould swam 41.74 to take over the top spot for the Longhorns ‘A’ relay. Baylor Nelson also split sub-42 seconds, touching in 41.93 on the ‘B’ relay, so did A&M’s Ben Scholl, who was 41.99.
Camden Taylor split 41.47 in the 3rd position for the Longhorns compared to Logan Brown‘s 42.42 for A&M and Calvin Fry‘s 43.02 on the Texas ‘B’.
The final leg saw Jacob Wimberly split the only 41, touching in 41.76 to lock up the win for Texas. Chase Swearingen anchored the Aggie relay in 42.45 and Kyle Peck anchored the Texas ‘B’ in 42.77.
