Two employees of a suburban condo were found dead and with traumatic injuries in one of the building’s utility rooms Friday afternoon, police said.

Around 4:30 p.m., authorities said a 911 call was made reporting two people were unconscious in a utility room of a condo building on the 1500 block of East Central Road in Arlington Heights.

Police and fire department first responders reported it was “clearly evident that two people experienced traumatic injuries and were beyond medical care,” authorities said. Hospital staff confirmed to paramedics that two adult males were dead.

Several police vehicles could be seen parked around the Dana Point Condominium complex into the evening Friday as officers investigated, video showed.

The two men had an employment relationship of supervisor and employee, police said.

The investigation was in a preliminary stage as of 8:45 p.m. Friday, police said. However, authorities are “reasonably sure” the incident was isolated.

Major Case Assistance Team is collaborating with Arlington Heights Police Department on the investigation.
