ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Less chilly this morning with temperatures in the low 40s. We’ll climb to around 50 degrees with lots of clouds, and a slight breeze out of the southwest ahead of a cold front. That front brings a small chance of showers, but due to a lack of moisture any rain will be very light at worst. More than likely it will only be east of Lake Ontario.
Saturday will have clearing skies north to south, but will be cooler with highs in the low 40s.
Sunday is looking good as well, a little warmer and a little cloudier, but there may be some passing showers east of Rochester with a little snow mixed in. Showers should be sparse however and Rochester will more than likely stay dry.
Monday is nice, then Tuesday PM rain will move in as temperatures climb above 50. Wednesday will be rainy and mild as well, so if you plan to travel that day keep your eye on the forecast to see when the rain will be heaviest as the forecast still has time to change.
MUCH colder air moves in on or after Thanksgiving, as does the chance for wintry weather. Lake effect snow may have an impact on Thanksgiving and post-Thanksgiving travel, but due to the volatile nature of lake effect snow it is very difficult to have an exact forecast on the timing, spacing, and amounts at this time.
