ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Unistel Industries on Blossom Road in Rochester is celebrating one of its own. Curtis Gainey has been nominated for the 2025 William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award.
It’s an honor presented each year by the New York State Industries for the Disabled to recognize excellence and success through meaningful employment.
Gainey joined Unistel years ago as a production worker. Colleagues say he brings reliability, initiative, and pride to everything he does, making him a valued member of the team.
“I’m pretty much, you know, holding back tears of joy,” Gainey said. “But I am very flattered, honored to get this award. And pretty much, this is proof right here that hard work does pay off.”
The nomination highlights Gainey’s dedication and the impact of inclusive employment opportunities across New York State.
