ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two twins from Craig Hill Elementary School in Greece, Delilah Ladue and Penelope Ladue, are being recognized for supporting local veterans and honoring fallen service members.

Their aunt nominated them for the Do the Right Thing Award after both planted flowers on Memorial Day at monuments at Falls Cemetery on Latona Road. They also make blankets for veterans, making sure veterans know they’re appreciated.

Delilah and Penelope told News10NBC it’s important to do what’s good for the community. The twins’ teacher says they always go above and beyond in the classroom as well.

Any student in grades K-12 in a Monroe County school is eligible for a nomination. The good deed must have occurred within one year of the nomination. Anyone over 18 years of age can submit a nomination form, including family, friends, school staff, and coaches.
