The '90s band just checked off a major first in their decades-long career by performing their hit songs on a stripped-down, intimate stage.
During their performance, frontman John Rzeznik admitted that the setup made him a little nervous.
“I’m a little nervous because we can all be on the first name basis,” he joked, adding, “This is intimidating."

The fourth song was from their 2025 EP Summer Anthem, titled “Not Goodbye (Close My Eyes)” while the last track was the legendary song “Iris” which has had a viral resurgence on TikTok.
Rzeznik was joined by bassist and original member Robby Takac, along with Jimmy McGorman on piano, Brad Fernquist on guitar and Craig Macintyre on drums.

This was after “Iris” entered the Spotify Top 50 Global Chart in October and is currently in the top 10 as of this writing.
According to Billboard, Goo Goo Dolls’ continued touring, new music releases and the resurgence of their popular songs sparked a resurgence that sent them back onto the charts long after their first peak.
“Any song is allowed to re-enter the Billboard charts, but with a few conditions: The track in question must crack the top 50 of a respective chart and needs to have a meaningful reason for doing so. Songs that qualify for a re-entry generally see a resurgence due to dance trends, appearances in a film, or trending sounds on TikTok,” as mentioned by Billboard Music.
