On Wednesday, Nov. 19, viewers were introduced to Niki of Carnesville, Ga., as well as her husband, Derrick, and their 5-year-old son, Brian.
Toward the beginning of her episode, Niki explained that she shared body-positive videos on social media. She received unkind comments and DMs about her size, prompting her to post a confident reply. "To anyone who does not like my body, I don't care," she declared. "I'm gonna strut my stuff!"
Ultimately, however, she sought the help of Atlanta-based bariatric surgeon, Dr. Charles Procter.

I don’t know when I’ve ever seen a patient come in after a weight loss challenge, having instead gained 23 pounds. I really don’t even know how to react to that.”
Another teaser clip showed Niki in tears as she took a pole dancing class and compared her body to other women there.
