The Greeley Youth Hockey Association ands its Greeley Bears teams continued their winter club season this past weekend.
The 12U Greeley Bears Blue team secured their second win of the winter season 6-2 on Saturday against the Hyland Hills Jaguars Black team. Jaxon Warner, Sutter Bennett, Oliver Tan and Trenton Sharp scored goals for the Bears.
The Greeley Bears 12U Gold team played Sunday afternoon at the Ice Centre at the Promenade in Westminster, facing Hyland Hills Grey.
The Bears edged the Jaguars in a tight 6-5 match and remained unbeaten through their first few contests of the winter season. Brooks Law, Jordan Garciac and Noah Butz scored for the Bears.
The 12U Blue Bears also took on the Hyland Hills Jaguars and notched their first victory of the winter season, winning 4-3. Alexander Rhonke, Lucas Broce and Huckleberry Barreras produced goals.
The 14U Bears fell 4-3 against the San Luis Valley Yetis. The Yetis edged the Bears in the final minutes of play. Despite the loss, Mason Ingle, Jaxson Frezza, and Jack Dalton scored for Greeley, despite the loss.
In their second game of the winter season, the 18U Bears faced the Arapahoe Warriors Maize, suffering a hard-fought 10-2 loss. The Bears received goals from Elijah Francone and David Tregoning.
