2026 NFL Mock Draft: Bears Add Much-Needed EDGE Help In First Round ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

It’s that time of year again, folks. College football’s regular season is winding down, so it’s a great time to begin looking at a 2026 NFL Mock Draft!

As of now, the Titans are scheduled to be on the clock picking first overall for the second consecutive draft. After taking a quarterback last year, what direction will they go this season?

Here’s a look at the first 2026 Mock Draft of the season.

1. Tennessee Titans: LB Arvell Reese – Ohio State

The Titans took their quarterback last year. This year, they address the other side of the ball with the top defensive player in the draft.

2. New York Giants: WR Jordyn Tyson – Arizona State

The Giants have Malik Nabers, but he’ll be coming off a serious knee injury next year. Tyson is a super talented wideout, his skillset complements Nabers, and he’ll be a big help to Jaxson Dart.

3. Cleveland Browns: QB Fernando Mendoza – Indiana

I think Mendoza will end up being the first QB off the board, but there doesn’t seem to be a clear-cut frontrunner right now in this class. The rest of the roster isn’t bad, but Cleveland needs a quarterback.

4. New Orleans Saints: EDGE Rueben Bain Jr. – Miami

Given the uncertainty of this year’s quarterback class and how loaded next year’s class appears to be, I think the Saints would choose to address a position other than quarterback and give Tyler Shough some time on the job. Bain is arguably the top EDGE in the draft; he can help that defense right away.

5. New York Jets: QB Dante Moore – Oregon

Yet again, the New York Jets need a quarterback. It could be Moore. Or it could be Ty Simpson. But it feels like a safe bet that their first pick will be used on a QB.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: DT Peter Woods – Clemson

Woods hasn’t had quite the year many had expected, but that’s been the case with Clemson as a whole. He’s got all the tools to be a dominant interior defensive lineman in the NFL, and the Raiders need quite a bit of help in that department.

7. Washington Commanders: EDGE Keldric Faulk – Auburn

Faulk is another candidate to be the top EDGE off the board in this draft. Washington needs a lot of help all along the defensive line. Getting Faulk here would be a great value for how talented he is at a premier position.

8. Los Angeles Rams (via ATL): OT Spencer Fano – Utah

The Rams don’t have many holes, but they could stand to upgrade at tackle, and Spencer Fano will likely be the top one in this draft.

9. Cincinnati Bengals: S Caleb Downs – Ohio State

The Bengals need help anywhere and everywhere on defense. Caleb Downs might be up there with Arvell Reese as the most talented defensive player in this draft. While safety might not be a premier position, his talent would be too much to pass up for Cincy.

10. Arizona Cardinals: QB Ty Simpson – Alabama

I think the Cardinals will move on from Kyler Murray in the offseason, and Jacoby Brissett isn’t a franchise quarterback. It might take trading up to land Simpson, but if not I think Arizona would take him if he’s here.

11. Miami Dolphins: OT Francis Mauigoa – Miami

Miami still needs to build up its offensive line. I think they’d happily take that opportunity here with one of the top tackles in the draft.

12. Dallas Cowboys: RB Jeremiyah Love – Notre Dame

Love is one of, if not the most talented, overall players in the draft. Last year, we saw Ashton Jeanty skyrocket up draft boards, and I think Love could have a similar trajectory. Javonte Williams has had a nice year, but I don’t think Dallas will want to pay him. Dallas feels like a logical landing spot.

13. Minnesota Vikings: CB Jermod McCoy – Tennessee

The Vikings need help in the secondary, and I think McCoy will end up being the top cornerback on the board. This feels like a pretty logical pick given what Minnesota has right now.

14. Baltimore Ravens: EDGE David Bailey – Texas Tech

EDGE is one spot defensively that the Ravens could use some help at. They’ve been improving as the season has gone on, and linebacker Roquan Smith has gotten healthier, but they really need some help getting to the quarterback.

15. Kansas City Chiefs: CB Mansoor Delane – LSU

The Chiefs will be in jeopardy of losing one of their corners in the offseason due to cap constraints, so using their first-round pick on one would make sense.

16. Houston Texans: OT Kaydn Proctor – Alabama

Houston really needs to add help up front to protect quarterback C.J. Stroud. Proctor might need to improve on some of the fundamentals, but his massive frame and dominant flashes would be a fit for Houston here.

17. Carolina Panthers: EDGE Cashius Howell – Texas A&M

The Panthers have been a fun team this year, but an area they can improve in is getting to the quarterback. Cashius Howell has done that this season to the tune of 11.5 sacks and has been a key piece of Texas A&M’s defense this season.

18. Detroit Lions: EDGE T.J. Parker – Clemson

Aidan Hutchinson is great, but the Lions have struggled to find a consistent option opposite him. They could very well take a shot at that here.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: LB Sonny Styles – Ohio State

The Bucs need help on defense in more than one area. Taking the best player available, regardless of position, should be on the table. Styles is big, physical, and incredibly athletic. I would think someone like Todd Bowles would love to have him.

20. Cleveland Browns (via JAX): WR Carnell Tate – Ohio State

If you’re going to draft a quarterback, why not pick up a first-round receiver to go with him? Carnell Tate might not be the best receiver on his own team, but he’s one of the top players at that position in the country. Pairing him with a rookie QB would be a solid move for Cleveland.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: WR Makai Lemon – USC

This doesn’t feel like a very “Steelers” pick, but that offense still feels like it’s missing a spark. DK Metcalf was a nice addition, but it just kind of offset the loss of George Pickens. Lemon has been outstanding at USC this season and would complement Metcalf nicely.

22. Los Angeles Chargers: IOL Olaivavega Ioane – Penn State

Interior offensive line is a need for the Chargers. Knowing how Jim Harbaugh thinks and drafts, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him address that in the first round.

23. San Francisco 49ers: OT Gennings Dunker – Iowa

The Niners will have to replace Trent Williams at some point. This feels like a place for them to do that, especially with a rock-solid Iowa offensive lineman on the board.

24. Dallas Cowboys (via GB): EDGE R Mason Thomas – Oklahoma

The Cowboys need to replace Micah Parsons’ production getting to the quarterback, and I think they’ll do that with one of their two picks in the first round.

25. Chicago Bears: EDGE LT Overton – Alabama

The Bears need help getting to the quarterback. Montez Sweat has been fine this year, but not a game-breaker. They’ve struggled to find any consistent help opposite him, so they should address that in this draft.

26. Buffalo Bills: CB Avieon Terrell – Clemson

While the offense is still electric, the defense in Buffalo lacks playmakers. While he doesn’t have an INT yet this year, Terrell has four forced fumbles, three sacks, and nine pass breakups.

27. Seattle Seahawks: IOL Connor Lew – Auburn

The Seahawks have a pretty deep roster at the moment, but they could stand to improve their interior offensive line. Grey Zabel was a nice start last year, and this pick could be another piece.

28. New York Jets (via IND): CB Colton Hood – Tennessee

After moving out some key defensive pieces at the trade deadline, the Jets need to reload at those positions, one of which is cornerback. Adding Colton Hood here would be a nice start.

29. Los Angeles Rams: CB Brandon Cisse – South Carolina

They could go a few different directions here, including quarterback if they fall in love with one to learn behind Matthew Stafford, but a cornerback feels like the most logical selection after addressing tackle earlier.

30. New England Patriots: WR Denzel Boston – Washington

The Patriots add another weapon for Drake Maye, and one with a very fitting name at that. Boston is having a breakout year for Washington and would be a nice addition to the Pats’ offense.

31. Philadelphia Eagles: EDGE Romello Height – Texas Tech

Adding EDGE help is certainly an option for Philly in this draft, and Height has been super productive for the Red Raiders this season. I think he’s got a chance to play himself into the first round.

32. Denver Broncos: TE Kenyon Sadiq – Oregon

A good tight end is a quarterback’s best friend, and Sean Payton has had quite a bit of success developing tight ends. If he slips here, Sadiq would be a really nice fit in Denver.
