The Egyptian Red Crescent said on Friday 14/11/2025 it is continuing to provide healthcare for Sudanese kidney-transplant patients who fled to Egypt, as part of a joint program with the Qatar Red Crescent to ease hardships caused by Sudan’s conflict.
The project covers 147 patients who underwent transplants in Sudan before the war and ensures they receive ongoing medical follow-up, including regular tests and check-ups, it added in a statement.
A specialized medical team is monitoring their condition over a three-month period, according to it.
The organization said the effort reflects its humanitarian responsibility to support vulnerable groups and strengthen regional emergency response.
