David Lewis Tucker was born on May 30, 1947 in Cookeville, TN and passed away at his residence in Cookeville on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the age of 78.
David was the son of Albert Lewis Tucker and Ada Faye Alcorn Tucker. He was a member of Gainesboro Church of Christ and a retired rural letter carrier. David was a US Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by his wife, Wanda Hopkins Tucker of Cookeville; son, Seth (Missy) Tucker of Cookeville TN; daughter, Jessica (Jason) Hardy of Gainesboro TN; sisters Margaret Tucker of Lebanon TN and Susan (Johnny) Law of Carthage TN; grandchildren Kyleigh Hardy of Gainesboro TN, Jacob Hardy of Nashville TN and Eli Tucker of Cookeville TN.
Visitation will be on Wed., November 12, 2025 from 4-8 pm and Thur. 11 am to 1 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Notgrass officiating. Burial will follow in Allentown Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Allentown Cemetery, Gainesboro Church of Christ or Donor’s Favorite Charity by contacting the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Hardy, Eli Tucker, Connor Brown, Brent Davidson, Brandon Hopkins, Clay Thaxton and Andy Melton.
