San Diego State sports fans will be able to turn to the USA Network starting next year to watch as SDSU begins play with its new conference.
As part of a five-year deal inked between USA Sports and the Pac-12 Conference, the network will feature 22 regular season football games and 50 regular season men’s basketball games.
Coverage will include tournament rounds leading up to the championship game and 5-10 regular season women’s basketball games.
“USA Sports is proud to partner with the new Pac-12 and showcase the league to a national audience on USA Network,” said Matt Hong, president of USA Sports. “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”
The Pac-12 accepted the Aztecs in September of last year during a period of huge shifts in college athletic conferences. SDSU is in the midst of its final year with its long-time home, the Mountain West.
SDSU officially begins its Pac-12 era on July 1, 2026, joining two core members of the conference, Oregon State and Washington State, as well as other new members Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Utah State, Texas State and Gonzaga.
The five-year partnership, announced Thursday between the conference and network, begins in the 2026-27 academic year.
Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all 80-plus football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games in partnership with USA Sports.
This adds to the outlets where SDSU may be featured as part of the Pac-12. The conference has a media-rights deal with CBS that could lead to the broadcast of at least four football and men’s basketball games per season on its main network.
CBS also will provide a cable and streaming presence from 2026-31.
