Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was the recipient of a pretty cool award before the team’s Week 11 game against the Minnesota Vikings — and it had nothing to do with his on-the-field contributions.
The NFLPA named Caleb Williams the Week 11 Community MVP. This is the second consecutive season in which Chicago’s QB1 has brought home that particular piece of hardware. Williams won it last year (as a rookie!) for turning his USC jersey retirement into a day in which he treated children at the Boys & Girls Club to a VIP experience that included field access, an opportunity to run through the tunnel with players, and tech discovery. One year later, Williams has done it again.

It is absolutely wonderful to see players give back to the community. Frankly, I hope QB1’s efforts can inspire all of us who can afford to give to those who are less fortunate to do so when we can.
On the field, Caleb Williams is on pace for a 4,000-yard passing season and currently has the Bears vying for a playoff spot. All of that is wonderful. But to see his off-the-field contributions get some recognition is also pretty neat. Keep up the good work, Caleb. Hopefully, others will follow in your footsteps and do more for children.
