Wednesday’s Bears Injury Report: 6 Players Didn’t Practice Due to Various Injuries ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

The first Chicago Bears injury report ahead of the team’s Week 11 game against the Minnesota Vikings is OUT. And it is loaded with names of players who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice because of injuries. Two players were given rest days, but six others had injury mentions next to their name on the injury report.

Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and safety Kevin Byard III did not practice on Wednesday because they were given veteran’s rest days. I’ve got no problem with giving Byard some extra time off. After all, Byard has played on every Bears defensive snap through the team’s first nine games. So if he needs a breather day, then so be it. As for Jarrett, he is no stranger to the Bears injury report. But I have no qualms giving the 32-year-old defensive lineman some extra time to turn it around after a Sunday game.

BEARS PLAYERS WHO WERE LIMITED ON WEDNESDAY’S BEARS INJURY REPORT

Tight end Cole Kmet (back) Defensive lineman Dominique Robinson (ankle) Running back D’Andre Swift (hip)

Swift and Kmet have been on the injury report in recent weeks due to a variety of injuries. The back issue kept Kmet out from a game earlier in the year. And between the hip and groin issues, has been on the Bears injury report every now and again. We’ll see if those guys will be a full-go at some point in the next two days.

I suppose the most encouraging bit of news here is that Dominique Robinson was practicing in a limited capacity. It is his first bit of on-field work since suffering a high-ankle sprain on the opening kick-off of Chicago’s loss to Baltimore in Week 8. For what it’s worth, I do not expect for him to be rushed back into the lineup. And after trading for Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, there is no need to push him back into game aciton if he isn’t ready. But seeing “limited” next to Robinson’s name on the Bears injury report instead of “DNP” is a good sign.

Linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II (knee) and cornerback Josh Blackwell (concussion) were a full-go during Thursday’s practice. Blackwell missed the team’s Week 10 win against the New York Giants while in concussion protocol.
