WATERLOO, N.Y. — A man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder in connection to an hours-long standoff involving law enforcement that happened in the Town of Waterloo in April.

According to police, Randy Davis forced his way into Steven Lindon’s home, assaulted him, and stole his guns on April 1. This then led to an hours-long standoff between Davis and police, where prosecutors say Davis fired multiple shots at officers.

Surveillance video captured the end of the standoff between police and Davis. The confrontation left Lindon’s home with shot-out windows, broken furniture, and a chemical smell similar to tear gas.

Lindon told News10NBC at the time that Davis had shoved him into the ground, took his wallet, and beat him when he gave him the wrong code to his gun safe.

Lindon managed to escape to a hospital before the standoff began. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed, and his nose was broken in two places. Lindon also mentioned that his ribs and arms were sore from the assault and that Davis shot at him but missed by inches.

Davis is set to sentenced in January. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
