Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training’s Ian Disosway has verbally committed to Arizona State for the 2026-2027 season.
Disosway was featured in the “Best of the Rest” section of SwimSwam’s rankings of the top 20 recruits in the boys’ high school class of 2026.
Disosway competed in the USA Swimming National Championships (LCM) this past summer in all three breaststroke races. He notched a best times in the 50 breast (29.03), and put forth a solid performance in the 200 breast (2:21.66), finishing 28th and 54th in those events, respectively. Additionally, Disosway finished 61st in the 100 breast in 1:06.24.
At the NCSA Spring Championships in March, Disosway clocked short course bests in all three breaststroke distances. He touched in 24.80 in the 50 breast, 53.58 in the 100 breast, and 1:57.01 in the 200 breast, going three for three on the lifetime breaststroke bests. Additionally, he turned in his fastest ever 100 back time, finishing in 51.15.
Disosway hails from Ocala, Fla., and represents West Port High School; as a junior, Disosway finished runner-up in the 100 breast at the FHSAA Class 4A State Championship last November, clocking 54.07. He also swam another best time in the 200 IM in 1:50.42 to finish 4th.
He also holds a 200 free best of 1:42.08 from March of 2024, and a 100 free top time of 46.68 from March of this year.

Based on Disosway’s best times, he would have qualified for the championship final in the 100 breast, the ‘B’ final in the 200 breast, and finished 31st in the 200 IM.
His breaststroke is on the right trajectory with an impressive improvement curve
Between October of 2024 and March of 2025, Disosway lowered his 100 breast lifetime best by nearly two seconds, (55.33 to 53.58). The same can be said about his 200 breaststroke, but this time, it was over five seconds between October and March. (2:02.47 to 1:57.01). If this progression were to stay linear over his time in college, he could be competing for some potential NCAA championship titles as well.
Disosway joins a loaded Sun Devils 2026 recruiting class that includes Oliver Munn, Jake Lloyd, Tyler Porter, Dillon Albertyn, Onur Oksuz, London Rising, Brennen Oniel, Caleb Kattau, Jack Culberson, Henry Lyness, and Jack Wroblewski.
