Bonaly, 51, who broke boundaries with her illegal backflips and wild acrobatic skills on the ice in the '90s, took to Instagram to reveal the devastating news. Bonaly wrote that her Las Vegas home was robbed and her collection of precious figure skating medals was stolen.

"You see, all those medals that I won in the past while competing in different worlds and European championships are sadly gone. Several days ago someone I mean a couple burglarized my home and stole all my valuable Little reminder to Vegas residents or Pawn Shops if you ever see some foreign gold and silver medals for sales. Please please call the Police immediately, thanks?," Bonaly captioned the photo set, which featured some of her most iconic figure skating moments throughout the years.

Bonaly is best known for her daring stunts on the ice. She previously spoke about how pleased she is that four-revolution jumps are making their way into the mainstream.

With a strong gymnastics background, landing quads came naturally to Bonaly.

Bonaly saw her need to push the envelope as a powerful testament to women's strength.

She Wants to be Remembered as a Pioneer

Bonaly never won an Olympic medal, placing 4th at the 1994 Winter Olympics. She performed the first-ever backflip on one foot at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and immediately landed a place in our hearts as a groundbreaker. Looking back on the moment, Bonaly told Olympics.com how brave she felt in that moment, even though she didn't earn a medal.

She encourages others to follow their dreams as well.

French Olympic legend, Surya Bonaly, shocked the world by landing a backflip on one blade, but as she revealed on this week's podcast episode, she wants to be remembered as a pioneer - not a rebel.Listen in full: t.co/ZtHI7J9ZzN@suryabonaly @FranceOlympique @ISU_Figure pic.twitter.com/8cJBPr7ECl
