During an interview with The Sunday Times published on Sunday, Nov. 9, the celebrity chef didn’t hold back when asked if he’d ever tweak his restaurant menus to cater to diners using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic or Mounjaro.
“That is absolute bullshit,” Ramsay replied. “There’s no f---ing way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab… The problem is with them [the diners] for eating too much in the first f---ing place! There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f--k by 10:30 in the evening.”
Ozempic and Mounjaro are both medications used to treat type 2 diabetes and for weight loss. Both treatments can cause a loss of appetite, which is the reason why some chefs are creating reduced portion menus for their restaurants.
“Bonheur will not be flooded with TikTokers,” he said of his new restaurant owned by him and his former protégé Matt Abé. “F***ing ring lights and posting about how good the food is.”
