ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The winter season does not officially arrive for another six weeks, but at times it will feel and look like winter during the upcoming week. A low-pressure system will cross the area Sunday with a cold rain at times during the next 24 hours. However, it could be marginally cold enough for wet snow to mix in later Sunday afternoon and evening. The ground temperature is probably not cold enough for much accumulation on area roadways, but certainly a coating on grassy surfaces seems possible Sunday night into Monday as colder air moves into Western New York.
If you are going to the Bills game at Orchard Park. be prepared for a cold rain, possibly changing to a wet snowfall later in the day.
This entire upcoming week will feature unseasonable cold weather with any warming trend not arriving until early next week. The recommendation is to get the “winter gear” ready!
