If you’re choosing an outfielder in the NL, on what planet does anyone believe Tatis was a better defender this year than PCA?
There’s a statistical component to the award, but also fan voting. Clearly, the fan voting must be a massive component, and clearly Padres fans did more than Cubs fans this year.
What a pointless, stupid award, apparently. No wonder they announced it at nearly midnight on a Friday. Totally sensible stuff.
