Two people were killed and three others injured in a three-car collision on the International Coastal Road (Route 45) east of Alexandria on Friday evening.
The Alexandria Security Directorate received a report of a collision at the Kafr al-Dawar area, with several dead and injured.
Police and traffic officers, along with six ambulances, rushed to the scene.
The injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the deceased were sent to the morgue.
The vehicles were removed from the scene, and traffic flow on the road was restored.
Report was filed regarding the incident, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation.
