Chicago Bulls Win Total: How Have the Projections Changed After Hot Start? ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

If you have been stunned by the Chicago Bulls’ red-hot start, you are not alone.

Coming into the 2025-26 season, expectations were extremely low for this ragtag roster. And it’s not as if the Bulls tried to change that. Front office leader Arturas Karnisovas and head coach Billy Donovan were both preaching messages of patience and development all the way up until Media Day. Unlike in years past, the word “postseason” wasn’t uttered, as the Bulls finally appeared destined to focus on the long-term vision as opposed to the short-term gratification.

Well, the basketball gods have immediately rewarded them for their change in philosophy. Whether it be the rise of Josh Giddey, the continued growth of Matas Buzelis, or the steady play of role players like Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter, this has been the most complete team the Chicago Bulls have had in years. They have a strong sense of identity and even strong chemistry. It’s completely changed what many fans believe this year’s team is capable of, and the oddsmakers agree.

What is the Chicago Bulls’ New Win Total Projection?

To little surprise, the Chicago Bulls’ 6-1 start has forced the sportsbooks to make a pretty drastic change. When we first visited projections from some of the biggest providers back in late July, the Bulls were handed an over/under win total of 32.5. This was the fourth-lowest mark in the Eastern Conference on both DraftKings and FanDuel, as well as the seventh-lowest forecast in the entire NBA.

Fast forward to today, and FanDuel has now bumped the Bulls up to 41.5. I am no gambling expert, but that sure feels like a pretty startling jump for a sportsbook to make this early into the season. As for DraftKings, they do not currently have their over/under picks listed for each time, so I instead took a peek at BetMGM’s current number. They also have the Bulls at 41.5.

Now, it’s worth noting that 41.5 on FanDuel still has them tied with the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat as just the 8th-best team in the East. The Cavs, Knicks, Pistons, Bucks, Magic, 76ers, and Celtics are all still predicted to have more wins than the Bulls. I also understand that .500 season would feel a tad depressing after this hot start. However, the mere fact that their win total has crept closer to far more established teams is encouraging. They were considered to be in a tier far below many of those teams listed above initially, but they are now swimming in the same pool.

A .500 campaign would be the Bulls’ best since the 2021-22 season, as well! If that ended up being the floor for a team THIS young, it would be difficult not to be optimistic about the trajectory of the franchise.

Anyway, if you want to keep track of what the oddsmakers think or pick the Bulls to finish with a winning record, we happen to have a BetMGM promo and a FanDuel promo. Enjoy!
