Tuolumne County Sheriff’s office reports the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team was able to rescue a man after he attempted suicide by jumping from the Parrotts Ferry bridge. The report notes a tip came in just after midnight, of a male who was threatening to jump off a local bridge. With the aid of CHP, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office and Angels Camp Police Department, both the Stevenot and Parrotts Ferry bridges were checked. Neither the man nor his vehicle could be located but checks of both bridges continued throughout the early morning hours.
