ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Salvation Army held its annual “Coats for Kids” giveaway Thursday as temperatures began to drop with winter only a month away. Families gathered at the West Avenue headquarters to find free coats, gloves, and even onesies for toddlers.
Many of the garments were donated by the new Boscov’s store in Greece.
“Coats for Kids” will continue Friday and Saturday, organizers said. The registration for 2025 is full, however; the Salvation Army said to call 211 for coat assistance.
