Second annual Harvest Dance and Fundraiser at Redwood Valley Grange ...Middle East

News by : (Ukiah Daily Journal) -

Everyone is invited to attend the Second Annual Harvest Dance and Fundraiser at the Redwood Valley Grange, 8650 East Road, Redwood Valley, on Saturday, Nov. 15. The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance music will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. This is an adults-only event with beer and wine for purchase and an array of complementary appetizers.

Back by popular request, the live music will be performed by the Fargo Brothers. The Fargo Brothers have been burning up stages since 1979 and are veterans of well over 4,000 live shows from California to the Canadian border. These four seasoned professionals deliver a brand of roots rock and roll with a fire and intensity that only four decades together can bring, as well as their classic and original blues. Known for their vocal harmonies and tight ensemble playing, the Fargo Brothers are known to put on a show that is not to be missed. The NorthBay Music Awards voted the Fargo Brothers as the “Best Dance Band.”

Last year’s Harvest Dance brought in enough funds to complete the Grange Commercial Kitchen, which recently passed all inspections to make it an officially certified commercial kitchen. This Harvest Dance will be a major fundraiser for the Redwood Valley Grange to focus on the next major projects, including the upgrading of the bathrooms as well as the ceiling and floor of the main hall, to improve the overall much-loved 104-year-old Redwood Valley Grange building.

The Redwood Valley Grange is utilized for a variety of community and social events as well as rented by private groups. Upgrading the kitchen has been a planning project in progress for nine years. After so many years of wishing and planning, there is a lot of excitement among the Grange members about finally having a commercial kitchen —the only one in the area available for a range of uses.

The Harvest Dance and fundraiser is being planned by a Grange committee with Theresa Pack as coordinator. “We were thrilled to have such a successful Harvest Dance last year, and we are really excited to host another wonderful event to bring friends, new friends, and neighbors together for a fun fundraiser with great music and dancing,” says Pack, “a time for adults to come together to visit in a candlelit space and to enjoy provided appetizers with local wines, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages.”

Tickets for this important special event are $20 and can be purchased at the Mendocino Book Company, through the Redwood Valley Grange website, or by calling Theresa Pack, 707.972.4221, for tickets or further information. Tickets may also be purchased at the door if still available.
