The Greeley Central boys soccer team experienced something it has rarely experienced this fall.
It trailed in a game.
The novelty of that wore off rather quickly for the title-contending Wildcats.
Greeley Central, the sixth seed in the 32-team Class 4A playoffs, almost instantly shook off an early deficit to top 11th-seeded D’Evelyn 3-2 on Wednesday at District 6 Soccer Stadium.
The unbeaten Wildcats trailed 1-0 just 3 minutes, 13 seconds into the match.
That uber-rare deficit hardly fazed senior Allyson Izaguirre Almendarez and his unflappable Greeley Central teammates.

With the victory, Greeley Central advances to a quarterfinals matchup against No. 3 Battle Mountain (11-4-2) at a to-be-announced time Saturday in Edwards. The Huskies blanked No. 19 George Washington 3-0 on Wednesday.
