ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is facing charges after Rochester Police say he kicked an officer who was putting him into a patrol car.
Stephen Fuller, 50, is charged with assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and harassment. RPD says it all started when officers were responding to a domestic incident on Holworthy Street, a block from Lyell Avenue, around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police say Fuller took off his shirt in the street, began yelling threats toward a victim, and was “belligerent” with officers. According to RPD, as officers were taking Fuller into the patrol car, he leaned back and kicked an officer in the face.
Medical crews treated the officer at the scene for an injury. Fuller was taken to the Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Rochester City Court. He was also served with a bench warrant for missing court, related to an arrest on Aug. 10.
