Election Day 2025 Preview: What you need to know before you voteHere are the official polling hours for Election Day:
North Carolina: Polling places are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Any voter who is in line by 7:30 p.m. may vote South Carolina: Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line at 7 p.m., you will still be allowed to voteBring your ID
North Carolina now requires voters to show a photo ID when checking in to vote. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, state ID card, U.S. passport, or certain student and employee IDs.

If you’re voting on Election Day, you must go to your assigned polling place. You can look it up anytime using the N.C. State Board of Elections’ Voter Search tool.
