ROCHESTER, N.Y. – After a nice Monday morning we are looking at a cold front arriving later today with some wind and rain. Temps ahead of the front will climb into the low to mid 50s then drop back into the 40s once the showers hit. Timing the rain threat for early to mid afternoon with a brief heavier shower possible around 2PM. Wind will increase with the front as well. Gusts over 30mph look likely in Rochester and the Fringer Lakes with a few gusts closer to 40mph west of the metro. No damage is expected so our Threat Tracker will remain green.
Weather will clear overnight, and the stage is set for a nice Election Day forecast. A good amount of sunshine and dry conditions Tuesday with temps reaching the low 50s. No issues for anyone getting out to vote. Next front will arrive later Wednesday with some wind and showers followed by fair weather on Thursday. Another front will reach us later Friday with more showers and wind. Behind that front some colder air settles in over the weekend into early next week. Some snowflakes may fall a week from today. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the parade of fronts this week
