Hey, Look, More National Recognition for the Undefeated Chicago Bulls! ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

The Chicago Bulls keep turning heads.

Entering the season with their sights set largely on development, expectations for the organization were rather low. Many sportsbooks and analysts projected the team to finish with a win total in the low 30s, presumably ending their Play-In Tournament streak by missing the postseason altogether. To be sure, we can’t rule this out only four games into the regular season, but early indications are that the Bulls could be on the brink of their best season in years.

The team’s 4-0 record gives the organization its best start to a season since the 2021-22 campaign. Even more impressive, they have beaten three projected playoff teams over this first week and a half, including the Pistons, Magic, and Hawks. As for their fourth victory over the Kings, this felt impressive for an entirely different reason. While the Kings may not be destined for the playoffs, they do have two former Bulls All-Stars on the roster. Beating them with this young and revamped group only further underscores that the franchise has made the proper tweaks over the last year-plus.

Anyway, the Bulls have made this hot start impossible to ignore. They are one of only four teams that remain undefeated, and this has led to some rare national recognition.

Chicago Bulls Get Some National Love

On Wednesday night, some of the biggest voices in the game sounded impressed with the early-season Chicago Bulls.

Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Charles Barkley praised the team as Inside the NBA shared the Kings-Bulls highlights. Barkley has been one of the team’s harshest critics over the years, but even he admitted that they deserved “their flowers.” As for O’Neal, he raved about Matas Buzelis. The legendary big man is well aware of what the 21-year-old can do, as he previously narrated Buzelis’ G League documentary series and signed the forward to a Reebok deal in 2024.

The Bulls also got some extra time under the spotlight earlier on Wednesday. Ahead of their meeting with the Kings, ESPN’s NBA Today ran a whole segment on the undefeated squad. Malika Andrews even welcomed Josh Giddey for a 5-minute interview, where the jumbo guard harped on the importance of keeping their heads on straight and improving. He sounded like a true team leader!

Once again, it’s still incredibly early in the season. The Bulls’ upcoming schedule is a gauntlet (Knicks x2, Cavaliers, Bucks, Spurs), but this strong play to begin the year is proving to be a good reminder of how much buzz this team can generate when they’re good. The NBA is better when the Chicago Bulls are good, so let’s hope this ragtag group can continue to shock the sports world!

By the way, some of the primary power rankings have also been kind to the Chicago Bulls so far this season. Check out where the rank among the league’s best.
