SCOTTSVILLE, N.Y. — Repairs are underway at the Scottsville Ice Arena after a pipe burst, forcing the rink to close for weeks.

The message from the arena says that there’s “considerable damage” to the ice and facility as a whole. The message says the arena will be closed until Thanksgiving and they’re working to notify customers about their options. Here is the message that went to customers:

“Our current focus is notifying our customers that will be impacted so they can work towards making alternative arrangements and taking all of the steps necessary to re-open the rink as soon as possible. We will be in touch with each of you regarding refunds for deposits and payments etc. as we are able. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this process. Unless there are objections from anyone (send me note if you do object) I will tell them to not refund our money, but use for future credit”.
