GENEVA, N.Y. — Ontario County sheriff’s deputies announced Wednesday another former Geneva police officer has been charged related to the case of former officer Michael Tapscott, who is accused of selling Adderall.
Tapscott, who was also a former Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) instructor, was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and official misconduct in May.
Deputies say Tapscott sold dextroamphetamine, a form of Adderall requiring a prescription, while in uniform and driving a marked police car. They also say he tried to get people of the community and from the police department to buy and/or sell controlled substances both on and off duty.
On Oct. 22, deputies announced in a press conference former Sgt. David Felice and William McGowan were charged in connection to the case.

On Wednesday, deputies say former officer Nathan Jacon was arrested in relation to the case. Jacon faces various drug-related charges and official misconduct.
Geneva Police Chief Ronald Eveland said he first learned about the investigation into Tapscott in April. Tapscott was then put on administrative leave, and later resigned from his position.
Eveland says the same day Tapscott resigned, he learned two other members were linked to it and under criminal investigation. One of them was former officer Jacon, who also later resigned.
As of Oct. 22, Eveland said Felice was still on administrative leave. All four of the men charged have been released.
