DENVER (KDVR) — Police arrested four teens in Aurora on Saturday, a spokesperson from the Aurora Police Department told FOX31 in a statement on Sunday morning.

Officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the area around Alameda Avenue and South Potomac Street. The Real-Time Information Center monitored the location of the stolen vehicle.

Before the officers attempted to engage in a pursuit, the vehicle sped away northbound on South Sable Boulevard.

Officers located the vehicle near 751 Billings St. and saw five people fleeing from the car.

A K-9 unit was brought in to help, and four of the five were found and apprehended.

All four of the people arrested were teenagers. Three of them were 16, and one was 15 — two of whom were males, and two were females.

The officers recovered three handguns, with two of them being thrown during foot chases.

The Aurora Police Department said that charges range from juvenile in possession of a weapon to motor vehicle trespass or theft.
