IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A ceremonial groundbreaking took place Monday for the new Willow Domestic Violence Center in Irondequoit.
The new center, located at Skyview on the Ridge, will feature a 16,000-square-foot space serving as the permanent home of the Willow Family Justice Center.
At the facility, survivors will have access to on-site counseling, a clothing closet, food pantry, and wellness space, all under one roof.
“We have crisis counselors, housing support, everything a survivor needs on their journey to safety and healing,” said Meaghan De Chateauvieux, president and CEO of the Willow Domestic Violence Center of Greater Rochester. “We will have available for them in a wrap-around way so survivors are not alone and we are all here for them.”
The new Skyview facility is expected to open in the next several months.
