The country superstar was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday evening at the CMA Theater in Nashville. Country stars Tony Brown and June Carter Cash were also honored.
During the ceremony, Chesney expressed in his speech his gratitude for his team, family and everyone who helped him along the way. He also noted that this was the first time he truly felt accomplished in his life. In addition, country artists Megan Moroney and Kelsea Ballerini covered some of his songs, such as "Knowing You" and "Somewhere with You," respectively.

He released his first album in 1994, titled In My Wildest Dreams. Since then, Chesney has put out 20 studio albums, including a Christmas record, two live projects and two greatest hits compilation albums. His most recent record with new music was released in March 2024, titled Born, which has 18 tracks. In May, he was featured and sang a verse in Maroney's song, "You Had To Be There."
