The Denver Broncos flipped the script — and maybe their season — with one of the most absurd comebacks of the year. Down 26–8 with just over six minutes to play, Bo Nix led a fourth-quarter explosion that saw Denver score all 33 of its points in the final period to shock the New York Giants, 33–32, at Empower Field.
Broncos Pull Off Historic Comeback, Stun Giants in Wild 33–32 Finish
Denver’s win probability bottomed out at 0.7% midway through the fourth quarter before Nix and the Broncos caught fire. It started with a tipped-ball touchdown to Troy Franklin that snapped a 16-drive touchdown drought and lit a fuse that wouldn’t go out. Nix threw two touchdown passes, ran for two more, and guided Denver to points on each of its final five possessions. His 279 passing yards and four total touchdowns were punctuated by an 18-yard keeper that gave Denver a 30–26 lead with 1:51 to play — the first of three lead changes in a chaotic closing stretch.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart answered with his own heroics, marching New York 65 yards in seven plays and punching in a one-yard sneak with 37 seconds left to retake the lead, 32–30. But the Giants’ missed extra point loomed large. Nix needed only two completions — a third-down strike to Marvin Mims and a 22-yard dart to Courtland Sutton — to set up Wil Lutz’s game-winning 39-yard field goal as time expired.

New York led 26–8 after tight end Theo Johnson’s 41-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, only to surrender 33 unanswered points the rest of the way. The defense, dominant for three quarters, fell apart late — giving up 305 second-half yards after holding Denver to just 102 in the first half. Linebacker Brian Burns notched two sacks, tying him for the league lead, while rookie edge Abdul Carter and safety Dane Belton brought plenty of physicality and trash talk early.
Dart finished with 283 yards and four total touchdowns, but his fourth-quarter interception by linebacker Justin Strnad turned the game. That pick set up a short-field touchdown and jump-started Denver’s comeback push. The rookie QB showed poise throughout and nearly delivered a storybook ending — but the missed PAT and Nix’s final drive wrote a different script.
The Broncos’ 33-point fourth quarter fell just one shy of the NFL record for most points in a single quarter — and for an offense that’s been searching for rhythm all year, it might finally have found it in the most chaotic way possible.

As the Indianapolis Colts just keep rolling, so does Jonathan Taylor. The NFL’s rushing touchdown leader added three more scores Sunday in a 38–24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium, powering Indy to its third straight victory and a 6–1 record.
Taylor was a one-man highlight reel again, finishing with 94 rushing yards, 38 receiving yards, and three trips to the end zone. Through seven weeks, the All-Pro back has an incredible 10 rushing touchdowns — and he’s now logged three separate games this season with three or more scores. For context, he’d done that just twice total in his first five NFL seasons.
Colts quarterback Daniel Jones complemented Taylor’s ground assault with a clean, efficient performance — 23-for-34 passing for 288 yards and two touchdowns. The veteran continues to play turnover-free football, with just three giveaways on the year. Jones’ sharpest throw of the afternoon came late, a clutch third-and-10 dart to Alec Pierce that iced the game and allowed the Colts to kneel out the clock. Pierce led all receivers with five catches for 98 yards, while tight end Tyler Warren chipped in two 29-yard receptions that came courtesy of some brilliant Shane Steichen play design.
The Colts entered Sunday with the NFL’s top-scoring offense (32.3 points per game), and they didn’t miss a beat — cracking 30 points for the fifth time in seven games. Steichen’s scheme continues to hum, with Indianapolis dictating tempo and balance throughout. The Chargers’ defense, on the other hand, continues to crumble. Once a top-10 unit under Jesse Minter, it’s now surrendered 400-plus yards in three of the last four games and looks completely out of sync. Indy’s offense ran what it wanted, when it wanted, and Taylor was barely touched on any of his touchdowns.

The Green Bay Packers waited until the final two minutes to take their first lead — and it turned out to be the only one that mattered. Josh Jacobs’ one-yard touchdown run with 1:50 remaining capped a gritty 10-play, 48-yard drive and lifted Green Bay to a 27–23 win over the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
It was Green Bay’s first road win of the season and a much-needed escape after another uneven performance. The Packers (4-1-1) have now gone four straight weeks without looking like the team that started the season red hot, but Sunday’s comeback at least kept them in the NFC’s upper tier heading into Sunday Night Football against Pittsburgh.
The game turned on defense — something the Packers haven’t been able to say much this year. After failing to create turnovers early in the season, Jeff Hafley’s unit came up with two massive ones in the second half. Rashan Gary stripped Jacoby Brissett midway through the third quarter, and safety Evan Williams fell on it to set up a touchdown drive.
Then, with under six minutes to play and the Cardinals nursing a three-point lead near midfield, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper stuffed Brissett’s fourth-and-1 sneak attempt cold. The Packers converted that stop into the game-winning drive that ended with Jacobs punching it in from a yard out.
