CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man is dead after an assault in east Charlotte early Sunday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Wembley Drive about an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found a male suffering from life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
CMPD has not said if anyone has been arrested or what led to the incident.
