ROCHESTER, N.Y. —  A man is facing charges in connection with a shooting earlier this month in the parking lot of Goodman Plaza on North Goodman Street.

Christopher Thacker, 26, is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Rochester Police responded to the plaza on Monday, Oct. 6, after a man in his 30s walked into a store, said he was shot, then left to get medical attention. Officers soon learned that he was getting treatment at Rochester General Hospital for an upper-body gunshot wound.

RPD investigators say there was an argument in the parking lot that led up to the shooting. On Thursday, officers arrested the suspect, Thacker, in Canandaigua with the help of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
