Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the importance of fully implementing the provisions of the agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that both parties of the conflict must fully abide by their commitments regarding the exchange of hostages and prisoners, the Israeli withdrawal and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave to start the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan with international support.
This occurred during a series of interviews that Abdelatty conducted with international media outlets to highlight Egypt’s efforts in ending the war in Gaza and the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held on October 13.

He also highlighted Egypt’s leading role in successfully facilitating the negotiations that led to the agreement to end the war, asserting the country’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the dire humanitarian consequences of the conflict.
He called on all members of the international community to contribute meaningfully to peacebuilding efforts in the region and to help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.This includes providing political and financial support for the urgent humanitarian aid being delivered to Palestinians in Gaza through UN agencies and organizations, as well as backing early recovery and reconstruction plans, he said.
He expressed hope that current efforts will bring an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and launch a political process that fulfills their legitimate aspirations.
