Storms moved from California to Tennessee in recent months, and stepped away from her character of Maxie on General Hospital for a while, too. In a new Instagram post shared on October 13, Storms opened up in detail for the first time about what's really sparked these big changes.
The doctors performed a procedure within days of the scan that involved inserting a camera to get a closer look at the aneurysm. She noted it was a "*slightly* complex situation with the aneurysm (nothing bad, just not typical)," and the doctors weren't able to "coil" it, which had been the intent.
Storms explained that after checking with her surgeon, she continued to work for a few months and then took her leave from General Hospital and moved. Now, Storms explained, her coiling procedure is scheduled to take place in the next couple of weeks.

Storms noted that the January scan "showed a new, but *very small,* squatter (aka cyst) on my brain stem." As a result, she added, "It was clear I needed [to] change some things in my life asap." Reducing her stress levels was essential, she noted.

"I couldn't understand why a person would make up something that terrible, when they had no idea why I was really there," Storms wrote.

For now, while she waits for the coiling procedure, Storms is spending time with Rylan, and the two are crocheting up a storm. Their love of crocheting is nothing new, their fans know.
