At UAB, Dilfer posted a record of 9-21. The Blazers went 4-8 in Dilfer’s first season, followed by a 3-9 mark last year. They are 2-4 so far in 2025.
Dilfer, 53, is best known to football fans for his lengthy NFL career from 1994-2007 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers. After his playing career, Dilfer became a media analyst, appearing on NFL Network, ESPN and FOX Sports 1.
