DENVER (KDVR) — Law enforcement agencies in Colorado continue to enforce safe driving habits with DUI checkpoints across the state.
On Friday and Saturday night last weekend, DUI checkpoints were set up in Douglas and Arapahoe counties.

The checkpoints resulted in 203 people being contacted, and a staggering number of arrests were made. Together, the checkpoints had statistics, including:

Our statewide DUI enforcement team takes a targeted approach to save lives in communities throughout our state. These operations are publicized to encourage drivers to make a plan for a sober ride this weekend and begin a 'habit' of never driving intoxicated," said the press release.
The checkpoint coincided with the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CSP said.
