Moses Itauma’s ex-rival forces three MMA fighters to quit in wild three vs one fight ...Middle East

Well-travelled Polish boxer Mariusz Wach blasted away three opponents in just over three minutes on Saturday night.

At the peak of his powers, Wach fought Wladimir Klitschko for the unified WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.

But nowadays, the 6ft 7in giant is more commonly involved in freakshow MMA fights in his home country.

In February, he held UFC welterweight veteran Salim Touahri to a draw in an exhibition bout.

And over the weekend, he returned to the cage to compete in a bizarre 3vs1 handicap match with Prime MMA.

Of the three opponents he faced, Dawid Baran, Mariusz Sobczak, and Tomasz Olejnik, the latter two had previously competed in professional MMA.

Olejnik sports an unremarkable 1-4 record at welterweight (170lbs), while Sobczak has an even 1-1 record at heavyweight.

Baran, a Polish influencer, was stepping into the octagon for the first time.

All three came flying out of the gates looking to apply pressure to their towering foe early.

But Wach weathered the storm to drop all of them one by one inside the opening 30 seconds.

Eventually, Sobczak quit, after touching down twice, leaving the two smaller foes to battle it out with Wach.

A clubbing right hand dispatched Olejnik at the end of the opening stanza, leaving only Baran to face Wach in the second round.

Wach took out the three MMA fighters one at a time, with none of them able to land a dent on the Polish bruiser

A powerful one-two rocked Baran badly, and before Wach could do any more damage, the influencer made the wise decision to withdraw from the contest.

What did Mariusz Wach achieve in his professional boxing career?

Now 45 years old, Wach’s best years are firmly behind him.

That was made brutally clear when the Pole, once noted for his iron jaw, was flattened in two rounds by a teenage Moses Itauma last year.

He still competes in boxing, although he has taken a step down in opposition since the Itauma wakeup call.

During a weak 2010s heavyweight era, Wach was able to establish himself as a fringe contender, beating the likes of Christian Hammer and Kevin McBride to earn a shot at a prime Klitschko in 2012.

Wach was thoroughly outboxed but remarkably remained on his feet for the entire 12-round duration.

Wach fought the likes of Whyte, Klitschko, Itauma, and Povetkin as a pro boxerMatchroom Boxing

His impressive durability made him the perfect dance partner for top heavyweights looking to bank rounds, and over the next decade, he earned multiple big paydays with his chin.

Along the way, he took Dillian Whyte and Hughie Fury the distance, while not even Alexander Povetkin could lift him off his feet during a punishing bout that was halted in the 12th round due to a deep cut below Wach’s left eye.

Most of Wach’s stoppages ended this way, waved off due to superficial damage rather than flush knockouts – his chin proving more formidable than his skin.
