— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) October 12, 2025 The Milwaukee Bucks will look a little different tonight. The organization had a relatively busy offseason, which included shockingly waiving Damian Lillard in order to sign free agent big man Myles Turner away from the Indiana Pacers. They also went on to add Cole Anthony from the Orlando Magic, who is expected to play a pretty substantial role in this group’s backcourt. Both newbies have appeared in Milwaukee’s first two preseason contests and have played a role in the team starting an identical 2-0. Milwaukee has exhibition wins over the Pistons and Heat. For what it’s worth, fans have yet to see superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor with either of his new teammates. The two-time MVP got a delayed start due to a COVID-19 diagnosis overseas. While he finally rejoined the team last week in Milwaukee, the Bucks have held him out of the first two preseason games as he works his way back into shape. With that being the case, the Bulls are in line to be the lucky team that gets to face the motivated Greek Freak first. Doc Rives told The Athletic’s Eric Nehm this week that the plan is for Antetokounmpo to make his 2025-26 debut at the United Center this evening. Of course, it’s unlikely the coaching staff will allow Antetokounmpo to see much playing time, but I think we all know he isn’t the kind of player who approaches any game lightly. When he is on the floor, I expect him to go right at the Bulls’ interior defense. How will a slightly stronger Matas Buzelis hold up? Could we see Isaac Okoro try to handle some of the assignments? Perhaps an earlier call for Patrick Williams or Zach Collins? If one thing is for sure, the Bulls would be wise to try out a few different looks in preparation for the regular season.

— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) October 11, 2025 I expect plenty of threes tonight from both squads. Through two games, the Bulls and Bucks rank Top 14 in three-point makes. Milwaukee is actually fresh off a stellar shooting display against the Pistons, going 18-36 from deep. They also fought their way to the free-throw line for 40 attempts, which could be bad news for a Bulls team that just forked over 32 to the Cavaliers. We talked about it more earlier this weekend, but fouling seems like it could be a real issue for this developing defense. So, what are our early impressions of Patrick Williams? Donovan opting to make him the 11th man in the first preseason contest didn’t bode well, but the forward responded with some aggressive play in the team’s second meeting against Cleveland. While he may have only had 8 points on 3-8 shooting from the field, I felt like you noticed him over his 21 minutes. He powered his way into the paint a few times and seemed more comfortable initiating physicality. Overall, it just felt like he was a little more decisive. Look, I know many remain extremely frustrated with Williams and rightfully so. But we have to just lower the bar and cross our fingers that he can become a serviceable rotation guy. Especially with the Bulls wanting to play tougher on the defensive end, there is a world where Williams can stand out more than ever before. On paper, he remains one of their most versatile defenders and strongest athletes. One can only hope that starting the season off the bench in a more limited role will help him better understand where he fits in and thus provide the confidence boost we’ve all been waiting for. Triple dog dare the Bulls to give us another buzzer beater tonight! Did You See the Chicago Bulls Beat the Buzzer in Back-to-Back Quarters? A look back at the Fail Mary? Are you trying to kill me! You might as well make yourself feel better about the Cubs by watching the last Seiya Suzuki bomb of the season. Nick Foligno sounds like the veteran voice this ultra-young Blackhawks voice needs.
